The History Council of NSW is thrilled to announce that one of its it’s cultural partners, the State Library of NSW, has opened nominations for the NSW Premier’s History Awards!
The State Library of NSW has announced the short list of contemporary works by leading and emerging Australian writers for the 2019 NSW Premier’s Literary Awards.
The State Library of New South Wales has launched their inaugural short film prize, Shortstacks. This new prize has a total of $20,000 on offer across two prize categories, General and Youth.
The State Library of New South Wales is currently showing an exhibition of their new project by Wiradjuri/Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones, who has collaborated with four Sydney elders — Uncle Chicka, Aunty Esme, Aunty Sandra and Uncle Dennis — to tell a very personal story of Aboriginal Sydney, and how these elders have continued the legacy of their ancestors by actively contributing to and creating Sydney.
