The History Council of New South Wales, Inc (HCNSW) values the privacy of our members and website visitors. We will only record your details such as your email address and telephone numbers if you take out a membership with the HCNSW, make a booking through our website, participate in a survey or request information from us such as the HCNSW eNewsletter.

Your details will never be shared or disclosed to anyone else without your consent, and will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided them. Information would only be shared with a third party if you consent to disclosure or we are compelled and authorised to do so by law. If you do provide information to us, it is stored in such a way so your personally identifiable information is protected from loss or misuse. Only authorised members of staff are allowed access to this information and it is treated as confidential.

When you visit our site, we do log information about your visit so we can administer and improve the site. Information collected includes; server address, date and time of visit, how you reached the site (e.g. Google), pages you visited and services you used during your visit. This information is anonymous and does not identify you as an individual. No attempt will be made to identify you from this information.

 

Our website does provide links to third party websites outside of our control. We do not accept any responsibility for their activities, and we advise you to examine the terms and conditions of using their websites before use and disclosing any information to them.

Online ordering facilities offered through our website securely process payments through an external global gateway. The HCNSW does not at any stage hold the full credit card details supplied as part of such online transactions.

The HCNSW uses social media sites to share and promote its services. The HCNSW abides by the privacy policies and terms of service of third party social media providers we use. We will not share personal information when we post to social media. We remind users to be mindful not to post any personal information that they do not wish to be made public, and to seek consent before posting the personal information of others.
