The City of Sydney Historical Association‘s upcoming September lecture will feature Angela Phippen who will tell the story of nineteenth century migrant George Hedgeland on Saturday 8 September.

George was an English artist and stained glass artist who became a pastoralist in Queensland and later a surveyor of Sydney streets.This illustrated talk will tell the story of George’s extraordinary and varied life as well as the poignant and sometimes tragic story of some of the people commemorated in his windows.
