As part of History Week 2018, Wollongong City Library will host authors John Parkinson and Dr Richard Bowler who will discuss their research and writing journeys.
John Parkinson has written The Surgeon’s Eye, a collection of journals of Dr Richard Bowler – voyager, doctor, politician and reformer documenting his adventures on land and sea.
Jo Oliver has written a biography, Jessie, about the print maker artist, WWI nurse and traveller Jessie Traill. Both writers have delved into manuscripts, photos, letters, diaries or newspapers in the course of their research.
