The Royal Australian Historical Society will be hosting a regional seminar in the seaside city of Shellharbour to learn about local convict history and practical skills for the researching of convict records, including insights into using Trove as well as criminal court records from the UK and NSW.

Associate Professor Carol Liston and Dr Kathrine Reynolds will discuss their convict research using criminal courts records from the UK. RAHS President Christine Yeats will delve into using NSW criminal cases for convict research, as well as her tips and strategies for using Trove. Dr Kathrine Reynolds will use case studies to highlight the best ways to organise your research as well as practical tips for storing data. Janelle Cundy will take participants on a tour of the City Library and Museum and provide an introduction into local resources.
