SUBCOMMITTEE OPPORTUNITY
Members – did you know you can volunteer to be on an HCNSW Subcommittee?
We are currently on the lookout for passionate individuals keen to contribute to HCNSW Events.
The Events Subcommittee’s volunteer duties include, in liaison with the HCNSW team & Executive Committee:
- Recommending potential history events, and speakers for HCNSW events
- Advising about potential new event formats
- Advising the HCNSW about potential event partnerships
- Provision of insights about current history research & practice that would be of interest to our members and the general public
- Attending HCNSW & other history events, where feasible
- Writing occasional stories for our newsletter and website about HCNSW events
- Reporting to the HCNSW Executive Committee and General Council about events
- Opportunities to chair HCNSW panels
Please note that HCNSW Subcommittees generally meet online once a month.

Location: Remote (usually via Zoom)
Frequency: Meetings are held once a month for 8-10 months of the year, usually for 1 hr (5:00 – 6:00pm)
