The City of Sydney Historical Association presents Dick Whitaker, one of television’s well-known weathermen and enthusiastic historians, as he draws on archival records of Sydney’s violent weather. Major storms are not new to the east coast of Australia, and the location of Sydney in particular has placed the city in the path of many displays of the destructive power of nature.
