Campbelltown Uncovered
Hosted by Campbelltown City Council Library
Join us on an online tour of Campbelltown’s Queen Street! This thoroughfare has been the commercial centre of town since the early days of the settlement.
Featured are ten buildings that once proudly stood in this street but are now demolished. Uncover what each building looked like through historical photos, combined with written descriptions, snippets of oral history interviews and videos that help bring these wonders of the past to life. Follow the map to find their location and what building currently occupies the site.
Discover how Campbelltown’s main street developed from the ground up through these early and important buildings in the town’s development from a sleepy village to a thriving city today. Uncover fascinating stories and what role they played in Campbelltown’s history.
