Edward Gough Whitlam was born on 11 July 1916. In the centenary of Gough’s birth, Eric Sidoti from the Whitlam Institute examines how Australia’s 21st Prime Minister was shaped by his own times and how he, in turn, shaped modern Australia. More importantly, it is an opportunity to reflect upon Australia today and to ponder just what might be the way of a reformer in the second decade of the 21st century.
