Fairfield City Museum and Gallery and the Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone invite you to the launch of the exhibition ‘Child’s Play’ on Saturday 14 April at 2pm.

‘Child’s Play’ draws upon Fairfield City Museum & Gallery’s historical toy collection which spans from the twentieth century to today. The exhibition explores concepts of childhood, play and imagination, including contemporary bodies of work developed by children from the local Fairfield area in partnership with LOST IN BOOKS and Fairfield City’s Early Learning Centres.\

The launch of ‘Child’s Play’ is in conjunction with the launch of ‘Fort Thunder: An Electro-Acoustic Playground’. This accompanying display sees artists Lucas Abela and Keg de Souza use the language of children’s playgrounds to create immersive kaleidoscopic instruments designed with little hands and feet in mind.
