Ku-ring-gai Gordon Library is pleased to welcome Supreme Court Justice Geoff Lindsay to launch the Australian Heritage Festival event Charles Bean: Life and Work, a travelling selection from the 2016 exhibition curated by and displayed at the Australian Defence Force Academy, UNSW, Canberra. Bean was a long-time Ku-ring-gai resident, known as a war correspondent, historian and founder of the Australian War Memorial. Dr Bean was also a visionary, social reformer, conservationist and tireless advocate for better town planning and education, and for increased open spaces and parklands. This fascinating exhibition is a wide-ranging investigation into the imposing legacy of this deeply thoughtful, caring and dedicated Australian.

The exhibition runs from Thursday 20 April to Thursday 11 May 2017.
