This History Week 2018 event, hosted by Sydney’s Pride History Group will bring together a panel of LGBTIQ community members and historians to explore LGBTIQ experiences of life and death.

How have communities in the past mourned and commemorated their friends, lovers and partners, especially given the climate of prejudice experienced on the basis of sexuality? What rituals still exist to celebrate our community heroines and heroes? Does more need to be done to memorialise our history for future generations? This event will reflect on these questions and include time for audience questions.
