The Australian Society of Archivists is putting out a call for papers for the 2016 National Conference Forging Links: People, Systems, Archives. The conference will explore the themes of collaboration, sustainability, accountability and transformation, looking at how technology is changing the work of archivists and how they relate to users and content.
Take part in this exciting conference by preparing a proposal in one or more of the following categories:
- Traditional paper of 25 minutes with discussion at the conclusion.
- Panel discussion where three or four like minded people can explore a theme or present research ideas over a session.
- Interactive session with a 30 or 60 minute presentation to highlight new or innovative archival or record keeping programs, new techniques or research proposals.
- Workshop – design and present a session during the main conference program or as a half day or full day workshop on Friday 21 October on a topic, tool or theme.
New voices, affiliated professionals and innovative practitioners are encouraged to submit papers via the Call for Papers proposal form on the ASA website.
All proposals are due by 31 December 2015. For questions or a discussion of your proposal, email the program committee at conference@archivists.org.au
Take this opportunity to forge links with the archives and record keeping community and actively participate with people, systems and archives.
