The Twentieth Century Heritage Society of NSW‘ May lecture will feature Sue Rosen who will examine the life of artist Harold Cazneaux, his practice and the treatment of heritage sites reflective of the historic associative criteria. This talk will draw on the 2016 Heritage Assessment of Cazenaux’s home and studio at Roseville which was the subject of a development application for alterations and additions.
Harold Cazneaux was an internationally acclaimed photographer, responsible for many iconic images of Sydney in the early 20th century. His house and studio are remarkably intact, while the garden has been lost through subdivision.
