On Friday 7 April, the History Council of NSW presented a masterclass session at the Newcastle Writers Festival 2017 – From Research to Publication: Turning ideas into prize-winning history books. Guest speakers Frank Bongiorno, Tanya Evans, Phillipa McGuinness and David Carment shared their tips on submitting a book proposal, negotiating with publishers, promotion and achieving recognition.
