Sydney Living Museums are looking for a Project Officer for their Collections and Access team to assist in the implementation of museum policies, processes and systems to ensure intellectual and legal control of the collection is properly conducted and administered, documented and managed.

Among other qualities, the role requires someone with:

  • At least two years’ experience working in a museum environment and a degree qualification in a museum studies, heritage or related field;
  • Knowledge of decorative arts or domestic history or Australian social and cultural history;
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in museum collection management and documentation;
  • Experience working with collections management databases such as Vernon and other software applications used to maintain and update collection information.
